And aboard the ship that swayed on the toiling sea,
As she rolled her naked body on the sheets.
I climbed the salt-fingered crests and
Fell into the purple folds of her waves
And travelled east, into the sun,
Plunging to thrust my head above the peaks,
Stretching to see the horizon’s curve;
Always travelling east, into the sun.
